Engagement Rings Under $300!
With "proposal season" upon us, I was recently inspired by an article I saw making the rounds on social media. The article, which was originally posted on the website InspireMore, is about the McCays - a pair of newlyweds who suffered through an engagement ring shopping experience that was second to none - and not in a good way.
To summarize the article, Ariel McCay recites the experience she and her now-husband had when they were shopping for engagement rings. A jeweler called the $130 Pandora rings that they were selecting 'pathetic.' Although the jeweler who made the statement had no idea that they were selecting them for her wedding set; Ariel relates how the exchange made her then-fiance feel and how upset he was at the idea that he was failing her because he couldn't afford the traditional, big diamond set with the corresponding big ticket price. Ariel's response was classy, mature and the epitome of what 'love' means. Rather than giving away a spoiler, I'll let you read the original article by Josh Starling here.
But what it did do was inspire me to find some of the most amazingly beautiful, classic, modern and nontraditional engagement rings all under $300 in honor of the millions of loving couples who are getting ready for that walk down the aisle on a budget. Because after all, this is when Love truly should trump hate, materialism, jealousy and disdain. And to Ariel McCay, if by any stretch of my imagination, you ever read this....I just want to say, "You Go Girl! And, here's to wishing you and Quinn a lifetime of love, happiness and the fairy tale everyone deserves!"
