Finally Fall

Fall has finally arrived!  And, although fall in the desert is very different than in the midwest; it's still a fabulous time of year.  Regardless of the location, it means there is a bit of a crisp in the air and the temperatures are cooling off.  The colors become deeper and richer.  That means it's time to break out some new looks!

My picks for fall?  I'm so glad you asked!  Here's a few of my favorites for the start of the new season:

This amazing beauty is from Erstwhile Jewelry & was originally an Edwardian pearl necklace clasp that was
repurposed into an engagement ring. Made with platinum & centered with an approx. .75 carat
AGL-certified burma ruby accented with single cut diamonds, circa 1910, $4,900.  I love the stunning
bright red of this ring!  It reminds me of the first tinge of color on the trees or the red, fall blooms
on the prickly pear cactus.

The 'August in Rome' cuff by Emanuela Duca Contemporary Jewelry is made of blackened sterling
silver, 18k yellow gold & diamonds.  I adore just everything that Duca creates!  The organic nature of her
designs & the textural feel just seems to echo the feeling of crunchy leaves underfoot.  Perfection!

From the wonderful world of Lauren Bergman of Aroc Urtu & cast in her own special alloy of raw
brass, this horizontal horn necklace is set with three sparkly diamonds totalling .10 carats on a
sterling silver cable chain, $275.  This necklace has been on my "Wish List" (along with her
Diamond Slice Necklace!) for ages!  I just love the look of it & the rich color of the brass - perfect for fall!

From another one of my absolute favorite designers, Vivasmith Studios, is this completely stunning pendant
in texturized, oxidized steel with fused 20kt gold, 12kt electrum gold with a raw pink tourmaline
set in 18kt gold.  The color of the tourmaline is such a lovely peachy-pink - just the color of early cacti
blossoms or the shade of tree leaves turn just as they start to turn.

Everyone knows that I love Marla Aaron Jewelry!  I have several of her pieces & I am lusting after her new
enamel ear
cufflings!  Made of solid sterling silver, they come in a variety of custom colors.  Personally, I
think a lovely trio of orange, brown & black is sheer perfection for fall!  Maybe even throw a little green in
the mix.  Not to mention, you can get them in oxidized sterling silver as well as yellow gold.
So mix, match & have some fun!

Like a stormy fall sky, these Labradorite Double Drop Earrings by Pippa Small Jewellery are the
definition of 'perfect for turtlenecks!' Made of labradorite & 18k yellow gold, the depth of color
in the stones is just perfect for fall,
£1,400.
