Every Girl Needs an Excuse for Custom Designed Jewels! - Part I
The Mr. and I are huge supporters of the local Police and Fire Departments. As such, we attend a formal dinner / fundraiser every year known as "A Night in Blue" Police Officers Ball which benefits S.A.F.E. (the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment fund). S.A.F.E. provides scholarships and/or financial assistance to the families of Firefighters, Police Officers or EMS Personnel who have been killed “in the line of duty.”
It's a great cause and a fun time but it is also an opportunity for me to design my own jewelry just for the occasion. Naturally, I always pick out and design the adornments before I decide on the clothes! (Doesn't everyone?!?!)
So....I've settled on this year's design. I loosely based it on the long flapper-style necklaces from the 1920s and 1930s but wanted to add a modern twist. It's a white gold, 30" triple chain necklace with an ombre champagne zircon and smokey topaz tassel complete with matching white gold and champagne zircon tassel-style earrings.
The stunning ombre tassel and tassel-style earrings were created by an amazing designer, Patricia Caruso of Teece Torre!
I've had Teece Torre create some amazing jewels for me in the past including one of her signature, multi-strand bracelets in white gold with emeralds plus an emerald and white gold tassel that was a part of this year's Police Officers Ball jewelry design ensemble.
But back to the designs for 2014! Here are the component parts that I have so far:
Here's the champagne zircon earrings with white gold earwires. The zircon tassels were also custom-created by Teece Torre.
Now, I just need to finish assembling the necklace and we'll be ready to go! So stay tuned to see the finished project and how the entire outfit came together as well as Inspired Antiquity's future plans to support S.A.F.E. throughout 2014!

One of Teece Torre's signature multi-strand bracelets. This one was custom-made in emeralds & white gold. |
The white gold & emerald tassel was designed by Teece Torre for me as the finishing touch on the 2013 Police Officers Ball necklace that I designed. |
But back to the designs for 2014! Here are the component parts that I have so far:
The Components: Three 14k white gold 30" singapore cut necklaces, 14k white gold baby ring & a white gold-capped champagne zircon & smokey topaz ombre hand beaded tassel from Teece Torre. |

They look so decadant! I can't wait to wear them for the 2014 Police Officers Ball! |
