A Dream, A Fetish

I have always wanted an amazing fetish necklace.  I've collected Zuni fetishes since college.  But, like with everything else in my life, I'm a bit particular.  Every Zuni fetish has a different meeting.  The bear is a symbol for strength and introspection; the fox represents protection and camouflage and the turtle stands for longevity. I wanted a fetish necklace to compliment my collection that was hand-carved without too much turquoise because I never wanted it to look like I had a southwestern costume on.  So I've been on the hunt for the perfect fetish necklace for years now.  And, I finally found it a local bizarre being sold by the artist herself (who wished to remain nameless)!

I love the little bit of turquoise with the few beads & the large bear fetish.

The brown tones of the necklace are perfect for my neutral style.

Every fetish is a unique animal spirit - bear, fox, rabbit, turtle & fish.
